Remember earlier I spoke about Zig Zigler, a motivational Speaker whom I respect greatly.  He shared a story in his ‘See You At The Top’ Series that will give you a whole new perspective on life. It is a story about fleas, yes fleas - you see, fleas have been known to make leaps of up to 12 inches… about 200 times the length of their own bodies. Equal to a six-foot man jumping 900 feet!

You can place fleas in a jar with a lid on and the fleas will begin to jump, repeatedly hitting the lid in their attempt to escape their jar prison.

The other day I took my niece, my daughter and my mom to buy these famous cookies called ‘Cow Chip Cookie’ (This is the same cookie I bought for Mike Filsaime in June at the Focus For Seattle Conference when he gave me some Invaluable Business Advice and he then bought the same cookies for the next group the following day). In other words, it is a very popular and sought after cookie because they are a really good cookie and became popular at the well known Western Washington Puyallup Fair started back in the 1900’s.

I was recently perusing Zig Zigler’s Blog and I came across a very relevant story that many of us face on a regular basis and I wanted to share this story with you.

Often times when I am at a conference and I am in an important conversation, you know one of those moments that you have been waiting and hoping for all day with someone whom you wanted to connect with and you may never get that opportunity again and inevitably an interrupter will come and steal your thunder or your moment. Being the nice person that I am I let the interrupter speak and I may lose that tidbit of success that they might have imparted or that future deal I could have created in only a flick of a moment.

Real Estate Investing is a vehicle to allow you to pursue your dream. It will give each of you who chooses to step out of the box the opportunity to reach your dream and in your pursuit you will run into many obstacles along the way. Many, many people will try to stop you on your way to the top. I am a lifetime believer in motivational speakers and personal coaches, not that they will, in and of themselves, get you to the top, but they are sometimes the glue that seals the deal as we go through the gamut of up and down emotions, disappointments and picking ourselves up just one more time than we fall on that walk up the ladder.

I have had the honor and the pleasure of meeting an amazing couple at a conference that we both attended in September 2006 and I was so impressed with their style, their hearts and their growth that I took a picture with Coach Deb and verbally let them know that I would love to do business with them in the future.
